Geera Spiced Potatoes


  • 5 potatoes medium size boiled
  • 3 tsp Magic Masala
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2.5 crushed cumin seeds
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander 
  • Pinch of salt to taste


  • Once the potatoes are nearly boiled, peel and cut into medium cubes
  • In a pan heat the oil on a medium heat. 
  • Give the cumin a few seconds to turn a warm brown colour. Be careful not to burn the cumin. 
  • Now take the pan off the heat and add the Magic Masala Paste and stir around the pan.
  • Add the potatoes. Gently stirring until all the potatoes are coated in the cumin and paste. Add salt as required. 
  • Return to the heat.
  • Saute the potatoes for on a medium heat until cooked all the way through. Give a gentle stir to make sure they don’t stick to the pan.
  • Next add the chopped coriander leaves and a good squeeze of lemon juice.

         Yet another comforting dish to feed your soul. Serve with some fresh hot nan and
          thinly sliced red onion in vinegar. Or serve as a side dish to a meal.
